Saving Your Heart for Your Husband

I would like to introduce you to a homeschooled teen girl that is light years ahead of me when I was her age. Her name is Morgan. Let me tell you, she is a beautiful girl that is right smack dab in the middle of teen life and actually has her head on straight with her thoughts, her heart and her emotions in tact. She is bold and courageous to stand up and live the life that she does. If you have a teen or a preteen, I HIGHLY recommend hooking your kids up to her blog.

Here is an excerpt from her first post in the blog "While I'm Waiting":

"Because of my opinion, I have decided NOT to date or be in a relationship with anyone for my remaining time in high school. In order to avoid the feeling of emptiness, I HAVE to fill myself with something. Most girls fill their emptiness with drugs or alcohol, but what good is that? It is once again momentary pleasure and it will not last. I have fallen in love with Jesus Christ and because of that He will fill my heart with love, not just a temporary love but a love that last.

While I'm waiting... I will be studying woman in the Bible who waited on God for their husbands and were blessed beyond compare because of it. This blog will be a deep study of these woman, notes on what I learn and challenges I face along my journey."

Please stop by her blog and follow her. If anything, you can pass on to your kids what you read there. It is so important these days to have a role model that is actually worth modeling. I know I am thankful my daughter has Morgan to look up to. I hope that you will find that same peace knowing she is speaking in to your kids lives.

  1. THIS ROCKS!!! Our oldest daughter (almost 17 y/o) has also made this proclamation! I'll have Aubrey head over to Morgan's blog. It would be awesome for them to encourage each other.

  2. I don't have any daughters but I have three sons. I would like them to wait for their wives. It'll take some convincing on my part since I am a spiritually single parent and even though my parents are christians they also don't understand. I hope to read more and become a much stronger convicer and I need to pray :)
